PROJECT 03

A personal project born of a deep love of cinema. It works as a statement of intent that explores how the language of film shapes the way composition, colour and art direction are understood in graphic design.

It is a reflection on how films train the aesthetic eye and teach how to distribute weight and colour on the canvas.

  1. Discipline

    Poster design

  2. Period

    2025

DEVELOPMENT

The process went far beyond simply watching the films; it focused on an analytical deconstruction to extract the symbols of each work. The real challenge was an exercise in extreme synthesis: taking all the emotional and narrative weight of a film and translating its essence into a single still image in A3 format.

CHALLENGES

The main obstacle was choosing the exact frames to capture the narrative weight of each film. On top of this came strong visual friction: adapting the atmospheric aesthetics of cinema into a purely graphic design language, so that the final piece would not look like a simple retouched film still.

SOLUTIONS

To resolve this tension, the literal image was replaced by the underlying concept. The focus was placed on the key characters, with an in-depth psychological analysis of their development and motivations. Understanding this latent information made it possible to translate their emotional charge into shapes, compositions and graphic devices native to design.

LEARNINGS

Professionally, the project provided invaluable training in distilling complex stories, a vital skill for clients who need to communicate deep narratives beyond mere aesthetics. Personally, it leaves the satisfaction of weaving the craft of design together with a passion for cinema.
